One of the things I absolutely miss are my really close friends. But the good thing is I still keep in touch with them and will someday meet up with them again. You'll make really good friends at UND - that's for sure.

Yeah that's definitely true...I've made a lot of real good friends who are extremely fun to hang out w/. I hang out w/ a good number of intl students and out-of-staters. You'll find people to enjoy here regardless of this ****ty town. Surprisingly, there are a good number of NYers. We have 3 NYers in these forums I think and many more at UND. One thing I'd say (and I guess I don't need to say this) is to never try fitting in with a group of people. Find someone fun to be with and you'll meet many more through just one person, and that's how you develop your big circle of friends. I see waaaaaaaaaay too many freshmen trying to fit in with others and don't end up enjoying themselves.
You'll be fine and you'll be able to meet people from these forums too once you get here. Seeee ya
