Default Commercial in the summer

Anyone taken the commercial course over the 6 weeks in summer?
I think I am going to, and am trying to decide wether I am just going to take 323 and 324 (6 credits) or take another small course.

I'd probably just stick with the 6 credits. I've never taken a summer session, so I dont really know how loaded down you really get. I'll be taking 325 and math 146 the first half and then a couple online classes the second half.

The 323 flight course is easy as hell as far as getting done. It is after all only 17 lessons(?)(I should know that, but I dont ) so taking another class might not be too bad. Im finding the ground school classes to be a little challenging during a normal semester. Its probably gona be pretty tough over the summer. So I dunno.

Sorry, my post is completely worthless.

I took 323/4 during the summer. Every day I had ground school from 8:00am – noon, and then flew at 1:30. For the first six weeks I took only those classes, and I’m glad I didn’t take any other classes at the same time.

Keep in mind that the course can extend beyond those 17 lessons in terms of making up time. I had to make up A LOT of time and so I ended being under pressure. I took both of those in the summer. Those two classes are enough I think.

Summer is a great time to fly, and 323 is a quick flight course to finish. Just remember, if you don't finish your flying, you fail the ground school in that course. And you really don't want to have to take aerodynamics twice.

i took those 6 credits in the summer. i completed the flying + my 10 hour cross country trip in 24 days. that was with the old syllabus where half the course was solo. it may take a little longer to complete now, but if you have a decent instructor who can fly every day you should be able to complete it with no trouble.

Whatever you do, don't take 146 with Stuart Farm, one of the worst classes ever.

Oh! I second that. WORST math teacher EVER! Extremely boring teacher. There's some other girl who teaches Math 146 and I sat in one of her classes because I was considering transfering to her class - she was much more intriguing.

Mary Rerrick, or something like that...she was extremely easy for Applied Calculus....

I've been told to try to take Champion. I'd have to wait till fall to do that though. I'm gona decide later what all Im gona take with 325. I do know that Im gona take english 120 and ISBE 320 online this summer too. Maybe even a third online class, like econ 201.

I wish I wouldnt have slacked off freshman year. I could have taken a couple online classes or even gone to the local community college.
