Default Classes...

Any advice for a Comm aviation/ATC sophmore entering UND this fall? How about any secrets to picking classes and setting up flights and all of that good stuff?

As far as flight labs go. I think 10-1 is probably the best time for availability. I hardly every see anyone flying during this time period for some reason. Probably because that is the time when the weater is pooping out the worst.

I dont really know of a "best" time. It seems the weather always calmed down for the evenings though. So weather wise, I'd say anything after 6 or 7. Or EARLY in the morning, however, unless you're doing something "fun", that sucks real real bad.

You can register for regular classes through PeopleSoft(Curse that POS) and through Crewlink for your flight courses. I picked a 1:30PM launch for 102 because it just gelled well with my schedule. Classes in the morning and fly in the afternoon. If you want names on good instructors my current one is just great, Maurice Cogle.

Ill throw in 2 cents for instructors and give a good word about mine, Colin Davis. Always available, good teacher, knows a lot, easy going personality, eager to help students get ahead.

I dig my noon launch, class in morning, go flying, finish up with some class....
