How is the flying in ND during early april and may as far as winds, temps, nice days? Is there any problems with the last bit of icing conditions that winter may leave behind?

It warms up, but the winds usually pick up too and you'll get a bit more turbulence. Last may we got some snow, and there are still some low lying clouds. Dont be surprised if there are some no fly days because of freezing rain.

Last year I remember sitting around until about the middle of march to do my long cross country in 221. That was lesson 8 out of 27 I think. Anyway, I ended up getting done with the whole thing in like 2 and a half weeks. There's still bad days, but thankfully, more good days than bad days. Unlike in the winter.
