| Maybe Amtrak to MSP and get a cheaper flight out there! But from the east coast or west with Amtrak, god that must be painful. ![]() |

| Senior Member | I never took Amtrak, but I think the ride from GFK down to MSP is like 6 hrs., plus I heard the train is always delayed.

It'd be cheaper and less of a hassle if you just flew.

| I've never ridin on a train long distance. Just commuter trains in big cities. From what I hear though, you might as well just throw your itinerary away and expect to arrive at some other time. I think a train would be fun if I didnt have a set schedule or anything.

Other than that, you'd probably get there faster if you hiked. The stupid train from Grand Forks to Minneapolis take 8 hours - a driving time of only 3.5 to 4 hours (depending if you know how to correctly rely on your radar detector or not). Plus it's $70 round trip. You'd spend less in gas.
