Default Yet another Fire Alarm thread

Did anyone else just not pay attention to the fire alarm at Ryan Hall and keep flying the warrior sim pretending it was the Warrior's TCAS system advising of terrain ahead? haha

We eventually decided to put the sim on pause...and wait for the firemen to turn the damn thing off....20 min later it was shut off.

man, last semester during finals week I was taking a nap between exams (I live in an apartment). The fire alarm goes off, I was less than pleased. Turns out somebody burnt pizza in their microwave....how in the hell do you burn anything in the microwave?

Not so related, but I cook about 6 out of 7 days of the week and everytime I cook a tri-tip, ribeye, filet mignon, or prime rib or french bread in the oven (usually when I'm broiling) the damn spoke detector goes off. It's so sensitive. What I do is (if it's during the day) is open up the front door of the apt which opens up to an indoor hallway of other apartment front doors and open the rear door. Basically I want the live-in apartment manager to hear how often my smoke detector goes off so that she will respond to my suggestion I made a month ago to replace the annoying sensitive smoke detectors

Very Fargo-esque.....

I quote lines from that movie all the time

ive seen some less-than-brilliant people inadvertantly do some interesting things involving metallic foil in the microwave...

(the rest of us do these things for simple amusement)

Eeek, no need to get your panties in a bundle!

In the ASU dorms if the fire alarm goes off you probably won't hear it because the partying drowns it out.
Tragically most ASU students lack the correlative ability to associate a fire alarm with fire so I guess it doesn't really matter.

Default Electromagnetic Induction

Yeah put a lightbulb in a glass of water so it covers the metalic part of the bulb, wait for the turntable to turn it to the right angle and watch the thing glow.. (I'm sorry I spend my freetime watching that and starving)
