It all depends how many student's you have and what courses you are teaching.

You can only get "plenty" of multi-time if you instruct for ATP. If you do the CFI training at ATP, you will do your MEI and CFII in the Seminole and your CFI in the Cessna.

Accounting? Microeconomics? Macroeconomics? Business Law? Statistics? Sound's fun, eh?

lol yeah those classes do sure sound fun.....well I meant full time, like hes graduated or taking no classes? yeah at ATP if you do their isntructor ratings there they consider hiring you as a CFI and it costs a lot less then UND.

The business classes aren't to bad. I thought it was a nice break from the aviation classes, so nice in fact I haven't flown in almost two years.

How many hours you get in one semester will really depend on the instructor. It also has to do with what kind of students you get. Even with a full load of students you can usually pick up flights from friends who are out of town, do mock stage checks etc to help pay the rent, and some of it is the luck of the draw. A good full timer average is probably around 130-175 hours. I have done worse by having students flunk and drop out of courses, also took time to do my MEI - and yet I have a friend that got about 600 hours dual given in one year. The more courses you teach the better, the more communication you keep with your lead instructor and Mike Blackmun the better, your own scheduling flexiblilty (early mornings, nights, weekends) students, weather... all variables... Hope that helps.

P.S. When stating my availablilty to Mike for spring I jokingly asked if 10-4 monday through friday and only multi students was ok with him... he laughed me out the door.. Back to teaching initial CFI students for me!
