Hey all, bout to send in an app for UND. My question is, do I need to send in a copy for a class 1 med cert if i intend to apply for the commercial aviation program? Checklist of things to send, let me know if anything is missing -SAT scores -school records -bank statement -teacher referrals Oh, and btw, can i enclose the application fee in cash? is it possible to give a western union MO? |

Do you really have to submit all that stuff now? I just had to get my medical before the first day of my flight lab. I think when I applied to UND all I sent in was the app, the fee, and my transcripts. But I was a transfer student, so perhaps the new student application process is different. Oh, and as a general rule sending cash in the mail is a bad idea. Cut a check or see if there is a place for a credit card payment instead. I think a MO would also be a better alternative to cash. |

unless something's changed from last fall, you don't have to have a medical to apply or enroll. you have to have at least a third class medical to begin flying. you can get them from student health if you don't want to get it before you leave for school. they used to require a second class medical but i that seems to have changed. i always get a first just to make sure i can still pass.

I just had to submit my application, transcripts and the application fee, which I'm sure has probably doubled by now |

[ QUOTE ] Nah, something about financial capability? they wanna see at least 30k us [/ QUOTE ] They want to see how wealthy kids' parents are by seeing their bank statements. This will assist UND in determining how much to raise prices on the airplanes. IE, possibility of raising the Warrior to $110 wet. |

I didn't have to send in my SAT's, but maybe that was because I was a transfer student. |

I'm planning on applying as well. I was planning on sending in the application with fee. SAT's. Maybe a couple teacher referrals as well. And having my school send my transcript now, and when I finish High School. Bank Statement? I'll look into that.... |

[ QUOTE ] All admissions questions answered... 1-800-CALL-UND [/ QUOTE ] Even though my cell phone comes up as 619 area code on their caller ID, they get mad at me for calling the number when I want to be transferred to whichever #. They will ask "are you in town?" I will say "HEYEELLLL NO!!!" cuz if you tell 'em you are, they will bitch and yell and scream and say "CALL 701-777-2011" I don't want to have to remember those numbers... the 800 is easier. Cheap bastards! |

Just called... No medical needed. Once you get accepted take care of it. No teacher refrences/essay (wont even be looked at) Just send in application, $35.00, and have your High School send them a transcript. |

Im not 100% on this but im pretty sure ACT'/SAT's are required. If you haven't taken them yet dont worry because the question asks 'Indicate the date you took or plan to take either the ACT or SAT' Only thing I can find about the Academic major is question #15 which simply asks which major you want, if you want a teaching degree, and the academic college....or you can check undecided. Just call 1800-Call-Und...They were very helpful and answered all my questions. ![]() EDIT: about your medical. I dont think you even need a Class 1 for UND, im pretty sure thats just for the airlines. Class 3 is needed for UND, someone correct me if im wrong. |

Out of curiousity, is the SAT minimum still 1030 to join the aviation program here? (I think that's what it was when I came here) |
