There was a big story about it in the MSP paper a few months ago. Basically P2P wants to run SR22s or the like all over the state in a point-to-point style air carrier. It will be part 135 unsked ifr. Sounds like an ok plan if you can get people to pony up for a single engine trip in what most people consider a *really* small airplane. Apparently from the PR people they alread have pre-purchased orders, but we'll see. The state is also giving them tons of money to start up with.

Wait, SR22's aren't certified for flight into known icing are they? Wouldn't that be a big concern for winter-time IFR charter using them?

The SR22 just got certification to do IFR 135. I believe that certifying the TKS ice system for known ice is a plan, but as of yet not near term. I could see that as a huge problem flying around ND, but who knows. I also don't have the government wanting to give me $1.5M so I don't have a good counter-argument to give ya.

any of you guys seen the SR22 in the center hangar that's been there since early march? that's one of the planes.
