I just noticed July is coming to an end and that means only 3 weeks and Im back the hell up there. j/k mostlyAnyone ever been in West Hall. I was in McVey last year and had an awsome room. (first floor above the boiler room with A/C!) I was too lazy in renewing the contract for next year so instead of being on top floor in mcvey Im still on first floor in west. Probably no airconditioning though. Im just worried thats the dorm filled with all the a**holes. It seems everytime we would walk back from Wilkerson there would be kids screwing around behind us. Guess where they went? West. This should be my last year in the dorms if there's room in my friends condo next year. So maybe I can suck it up. My problem is studying with a bunch of crap going on. I had no problem studying with a RESPONSIBLE room mate. |

I think West and McVey are pretty much the same. To be honest, I thought I saw more crazy kids in McVey than I did in West, though. I was in West for the fall semester last year. I ended up transferring to Brannon, mainly because there are too many crazy kids roaming around the all-male dorms. I really liked Brannon. The whole co-ed thing makes quality of life in the dorms better. You don't feel like you're in jail with a bunch of guys, only.

Question for you guys... Your "co-ed" dorms... are they truly co-ed, where your neighbor could be girls, or is it "one wing for dudes, the other for chicks".... Purdue has the latter and it's the most misleading labelling of "co-ed" ever.

No it's truly co-ed in some of the dorms, like as in by door, not wing.

[ QUOTE ] Followup: How many of those girls are actually worth writing home about? Hmph, another problem Purdue has. [/ QUOTE ] Well you have to remember we're talking about ND here. Having attended Purdue and currently attending UND I can comment on both schools' girls. I was an engineering major at Purdue, so naturally there were no hot girls in any of my classes. The aviation classes I took there had very few good looking girls either (then again it was a very small program). All the hot chicks seemed to be sorostitutes (not really my type). It was said that Purdue got all the brainy girls, and all the hotties went to IU. Come to think of it, the girls that I met from IU were *generally* a lot better looking that the PU ladies.UND actually has a nice selection of ladies for being freakin ND. The cool thing about UND being mostly a liberal arts school WITH a badass aviation program is you can get great flight training and there are plenty of good looking girls on the other side of campus. Not a lot of girls in aviation, but a handful of good looking ones. The one thing about Purdue is that aviation majors were really rare. So if you told a gal you were a pilot it was actually interesting. At UND there are 1800 other pilots...the girls dont care that your a pilot...it's not very unique here. |

But yeah, most girls don't appeal to me here, but there ARE some out there. In fact, there are a couple of cute aviation girls here along with one or two bangable CFIs/CFI students. No kidding. |

[ QUOTE ] with one or two bangable CFIs/CFI students. No kidding. [/ QUOTE ] Haha, that reminded me of my room mate TRYING to pick his cfi looking at the intructor pictures. Didnt work though, he got assigned to someone else. One thing I found quite odd about aviation girls. The hotter they are, the more they are failing, or the farther behind they were. This is SO true for the most part unfortunatly. |

Speaking of girls failing, I heard a girl tried to sleep her way through a stage check and the stage check pilot ended up getting fired. Truth or purely rumor?

[/ QUOTE ] You really don't want to go down this road... now or ever in your career. Stay away from it completely. Even if it's a joke, don't go there. And that goes for the whole women vs. men thing too. |

My question wasn't a joke at all, something I actually heard from a friend and I just wanted to see if it were true. I wasn't trying to start a women vs men pilot debate. In fact, I have been very impressed with the female pilots I have flown with. |

This is not personally directed at you, it's meant for everyone. |
