[ QUOTE ] man ###### that, those guys were awewsome, I dont want a damn automated system. [/ QUOTE ] It's the wave of the future. I still remember when the FSSs used to post paper printouts of the 12/24 progs, WX depictions, Radar summaries, etc; in addition to having a real live person to talk to. Oh well. |

Man that really sucks. I always liked talkin' to that old funny guy..what was his name? Happy or Sparky? some funny clown name. But he was one of the nicest people working there and wouldn't make you feel rushed to end the call like some FSS people. I personally use duats.com for my x-c weather briefings but I like to call those people up anyway to hear them tell me something that I might have missed, even though I throughly look into the online wx briefing. This is rediculous...and I am not sure if Princeton can handle so many UND calls??? I'm sure Grand Forks FSS gets at least 20 UND weather briefing calls per hour during busy training times of the year. |

GFKFSS is cool. back in the dorm days, it wasn't uncommon for three of us to go out there at 3am for lack of anything better to do. learned a lot from those trips - like if your RA asks you if you want to go for a drive at 3am, stay in bed.
