Default Flight Hours

Just curious, on average, how many flight hours do you guys get per semester at UND? What year are you currently in, and what is your TT?

It really depends on which course. Looks like I'll be gettin through multi at about 27, but it was about 45 for 102, so I'd say you average at about 35 or so. I'm finishing up 325 with about 197 hours.

So do most UND students only end up with around 30 multi?

Yep, unless you want to pay for more. UND will let you fly as much as you want (so will your instructor!) if you ant to pay for it.

I think I had around 215 hours after finishing 325, but I did my private part 61 one and had a lot more solo hours than students get here.

Now I have around 600 with 160 multi.

Private test course is stupid and I think they should get rid of it. If you have your Private, you are qualified to move onto more advanced ratings, according to the FAA. (But no, this is UND and we are here to take your money!)

If you went to an FAA 141 school for your private, you may be able to get around the test course. A friend of mine went right into 221 with the help of Idona pulling some strings, and he regretted it. He didnt know the local area, didnt know the local procedures, and UND's procedures. The course is dumb, but it has some merit...mainly being that it gets you used to the UND world.
