Don't know him so I can't help you out with that, but I can say most people find the 3rd stage check for 102 to be slightly easier than the 2nd one. As usual, YMMV. Anyway, good luck!

I know who he is, but I have never flown with him. Just relax, and you'll be fine

He was originally assigned to me and researched him thoroughly prior to scheduling with him. Unfortunately, his schedule didn't work out with mine and I had to go to someone else. From what I have heard from two CFI's, he is a fair stage pilot.

I had him for my stage 34 (your stage 30) back last summer. He was fair, like everyone else said, but I still didn't like his attitude. Then again, I have problems with most stage examiners because of their attitudes.

I found his oral to be harder than my stage 28 oral. But then again, stages vary from examiner to examiner. Looking back at my logbook, the oral was 1.7 hours, and was quite in depth from what I remember. All in all though, it wasn't tooooooo bad and I ended up passing it.

Good luck. =)

If you know what is required of you in the PTS, you will be fine. I had him a while back and thought he was pretty cool.
