Starting this Summer

Well I finally decided that I am going UND. This summer I am going to get the private pilot course out of the way before the fall. I have more then 30 hours but don't have my certificate so I guess I will be attending from June 27 onward. I guess I can't wait to start off at UND and can't wait til I start flyin again. Just wanted to know how it works for me in the fall, will I be able to start my instrument courses. I have heard that summer is the best time to fly in nd, but I guess I'll have to wait to see. Is anyone else going to try to knock off the private course over the summer? I guess I'll be lookin for a job too before all the kids come in the fall. Does anybody have any suggestions on what kind of job I could get, working at the airport would be pretty cool I guess. Whatever any extra info would be great. Hope to see some of you guys soon!

I'll be starting this summer at UND as well. I have like 7-8 hrs. so I will be doing the longer session - the one that starts on June 6 and runs through August. I'm hoping that i'll be able to get most of the ppl done, if not finish it. I'm sure i'll be seeing you there!

Yeah summer crew represent! I’m gonna be here the first 6 week session doing 323/324. I think AngelFuree is too, but don’t quote me on that. As far as employment goes, if you want an on-campus job there is an online job posting on UND’s website. Or if you prefer off-campus, I guess wait til you get here and go apply at the various local establishments.

I'll be here all summer too, not flying though. A couple of classes the first session. Got a good paying job coaching for the Grand Forks soccer club, so I'll either be doing that or sitting my ass at the lakes from the end of June on!

I'll be here doing 221 and 222 in the summer. It took me two semesters to finish 102! Bad weather in the Fall, plus I got the heyell out of this crappy place during winter break. My flight left only hours after my last final. This year I won't be going home until I have finished my flight course.

Just make sure you are flying EVERY DAY for your 102 summer course.

I will be there June 19-26 for the Aerospace Camp. Basically to see if I like the school and the flying. I'll have my PPL by then as well.

If anyone else is there maybe we could organize a meet-up?

Sounds like a plan! I will be there all summer, so those dates are fine with me. I know that Chris, Paul, and possibly Sterling will be at UND a couple of those days as well (for the Getting Started Program).
Maybe we can set it up so they can come too!

I'll be here all through this summer... and until the next 2 years. I don't go home for breaks usually because I have to pay for an apartment

...it's not as easy when you are locked into a lease and can't discontinue it temporarily like you do when you're in the dorms.

Alright yeah ill be there from 19-24, me and my family will be driving from MSP this time. My registration dates are 20 and 21. We can probably chill around tthe mall or have lunch/dinner at Pondorosa, haha, ask Joe or read my old thread why. well I know most of you. so jsut IM me or call me on my cell, look forward to meeting you if I dont know you and later.

I'd stay, but I'd definely go crazy doing that this year. I gotta get the hell back home. I might do that next year though. I'm not really anxious to get done quicker, yet. At least not anxious enough to stay here for a summer or part of one.
