This is a university I would love to go to. Its a 3 hour drive from my home so at the least, I could go home on the weekends. I do have the usual dilemmas though. First, I'm not really ready to leave home but want to do university. I'm starting off small this year at UofM going only part time but eventually, I will go full time. And I'm probably going to do all my flight training here because its what I'm familiar with and its just easier. My question is, is UND only for students who get both their flight training and degree together or could I go there just for the degree academics for the bachlor of science in aviation if I already have all my flight training done? Also, how much do tuition costs range? For somebody like me I guess who will only do the degree part, how much would that cost? You know what would be great and this would be every pilots dream is to just fly everyday to your university from your home base. Too bad I don't own my own plane or my own landing strip. |

[ QUOTE ] Flat. Sucks. Nothing. Cold [/ QUOTE ] Very true. You get used to it though. Just gotta suck it up and make the best out of the situation. After all, we're all stuck here for at least 4 yrs. |

hehehe, I was kinda glad I didn't visit prior to coming here. I think I would've decided not to come being that there really isn't life out here. But all in all, I sucked it up, like Matt said, and try to make the best of it. One thing's clear though... the aviation program is great. |

[ QUOTE ] drink and use the internet. [/ QUOTE ] Hell yes. I would probly flat out stab something in my ear if I couldnt get on the internet for a while. Beer helps alot, though I dont see the point in drinking just to get trashed like about 80% of the people I see drinking do. Is it sad that the only way you really have fun like you do back home is to get tipsy or smashed on alcohol. Seems to be the case with me so far. I think most people somewhat exadurate how boring it is up here because its north dakota and thats what people expect you to say so you say it. It's really not all that bad to be honest. Tom |

[ QUOTE ] 21 or 19 to get in ?? [/ QUOTE ] 21 to drink in ND, just like every other state in the union. You can get a fake ID, I know plenty with that use them to booze underage in the bar. Just don't get caught because if you do, big $$$ |
