UND's off to get their first indoctrination into the world of real football! I mean, I liked the games at the Alerus, but when they say "another sold out game at 11,342!" or whatever, it always sounds so pathetic. Anyways, good luck to the Sioux! (wait, can I say that? )So what do ya think, are they gonna get creamed, put up a better fight than TT expects, or possibly even come out on top? |

Even with TT not being as good as they were last year, I still think they will win. Never really followed UND's football till I came here, so not sure about how they play. Game should give me something to do tonight, even if its not on TV. |

FAIL Half the UND football team is on some type of drug whether it be prescription pills or marijuana. Been around them at parties and they are not people I want to associate myself with.

I was at the game and it wasn't a blowout by any means. We had a very strong 3rd quarter and part of the 4th as well. If we would have converted a couple of our interceptions into touchdowns, it would have been a very close game.

| I think that by keeping it within 2 scores in the fourth quarter is a major accomplishment for the Sioux. It is very difficult to go from a DII school funding just a few full scholarships to competing with a FBS team from the Big 12. My hat comes off to the Sioux. I wish I could have been there to watch. Stinger how were the Red Raider fans? I heard they were a little tough on our fans that were there.

I was there too (in the band), and the TT fans weren't that bad IMHO. Of course they razzed us and our players, but we just razzed right back. I thought it was amazing that the Fighting Sioux were able to keep the game this close...historically TT brings in teams that they can steamroller for the home opener, and we definitely didn't get totally steamrollered. Oh, and apparently the attendance at the TT game was only 2000 or so less than the total attendance at the Alerus Center last year!

Out of 50,000 seats, only about 2-3000 were empty. That's pretty good for a season opener against UND in Texas. I didn't see any problems at all that involved Tech fans. I saw 2 people that attended UND last year but transferred to Tech and they came and said hi to me wearing the Texas Tech colors. One was on my intramural hockey team last year and wanted to get out of Grand Forks and the other was wearing a Sioux shirt under the Tech red shirt! ![]() Another great accomplishment for the team was that the Raiders kept their starters in for all four quarters.
