datbase is updated for free from the garmain website

with my mine it came with a card and i just go to the garmin website.. click on the version that i have.... on the right hand side on the screen it says download updates.. i click that...it downloads them to the card and i put that card back into the gps and it puts the new version on to the gps... i did pay extra for the card maybe thats why mine are free? but if i remember right if you have the usb cable you can do the same thing
