Default ATP CFI material

I'm looking for any books and binders that ATP Flight school sends out for CFI course. I'll be attending ATP next year, but I'm willing to purchase any unwanted material from former students so I can begin studying much earlier. Just let me know how much you want for them and I'll pay via paypal.

Thanks

The only thing you get for CFI school is the PTS. That's all you need to study. Be prepared to talk in detail about each subtopic and you'll be fine.

ATP guys only show up to CFI checkride with a PTS? No binder or anything of that sort?

Wow that must be a fun checkride. You mean no lesson plans or anything of that sort either?

ATP sends out several books, but I'm more interested in their Seminole checklists and procedure, plus whatever else they made themselves to help prep for check rides.

As a CFI candidate you should be preparing your own lesson plans instead of using someone elses.

Yea, I was just wondering if they gave their CFI students a packet of lesson plans. It sounded like you went to your checkride with only a PTS in hand. So I'm assuming you wrote your own plans from the PTS correct?

You must of been one of the only one's that made their own instead of just copying someone else's. They are silly and ridiculous and are only used for the checkride. I know I am not going out and practicing steep turns for an hour and a half.

I'm making my own, as I don't see any better way to prepare for the FSDO.

The bolded part makes me think you don't know what a lesson plan is.

You waste your time slapping those together instead of studying...let me know how it works out for ya.

Slapping those together is the studying, and I will... In the member announcement forum.

Were your bust(s) on the oral or flight portion? I just ask because I can't imagine a better way to study for the Oral. Trust me, these lesson plans are kicking my butt and taking forever, but I seriously doubt I'm going to miss something in the PTS, going line by line, page by page while creating these unrivaled works of art.

I busted the CFI initial twice and it was the only checkride I ever busted. The fed busted me on a change in class logbook endorsement and doing ground ref at like 1200AGL. I changed FSDO inspectors and did the whole thing over again without a hitch. Draw your own conclusions.

LOL what study material? They'll give ya a scrap book when you get there. There's like air spaces and spin awareness and random crash articles in there as well as limitations that are very well organized and intuitively placed.I suggest you get a PTS and a FOI/Pilot flying book and start reading. Make sure you can teach a maneuver.
