Desertdog, I thought I read somwhere you were going to persue 141 cert. or VA approval. I would think this would be an excellent idea for any flight school looking to bring in a lot of buisness. I know that takes a lot of time, effort, and resources.

Think about all the Vets coming back from the all the crap that's going on. Honestly, that's a huge market to tap into. I will not go to ERAU, FSA, RAA or anything of the sort. I myself would only consider Skymates, AriBen, White Air, ATP, or the local FBO(no particular order).

I can't say no to my rich uncle S's offer of 60% reimbursement. Only one of the above schools is VA approved. It would be good for a lot of flight schools to provide me and thousands of other vets with options.

Just something to think about. I in no way feel that 141 is better or worse; it's simply the only way it's going to be for a 'long time' G.I. like myself.

Yes we are pursueing a Part 141 approval but it is a long process and we all know how fast the FAA moves. How long does it take to get your hard license after a checkride? :)

But yes we are making that a priority, but I suspect it will take about a year to get that ironed out.

I was about ten hours away from my IR.
That could work out well for me. I have spent the last two years paying off ALL of my debt and sacrificing any flying.

I have been selected(due to my Chuck Norris like skillz) to deploy to Iraq for another year. I will defend freedom (*cough**cough*) all while pocketing mad grips of tax free cheddar. Sorry, but it's true. I would be happy to give a bunch of it to your school or one comparable in the not so distant future.

Seriously though DD. You seem like a mostly no-nonsense(unlike my post) sort of guy and your school does too. Thanks for the info.
