    Looking for a basic iPad to use with the Foreflight app and an add-on GPS. I don't care too much about the condition as far as dents and dings, as long as it functions correctly and the screen is in good condition. Can pay with PayPal same day. Pics are a must, shoot me an offer.

    I have a few things I would be willing to trade, or trade + cash.

    Haha, yes... not one of my best moves.

    If you have an iPad/iPhone/Android you can download the app and get a free 1 month trial. It's seriously awesome, especially if you get the external GPS and do georeferencing and stuff. I think there's also a new product out that you connect to your phone and get service at altitude, so you could possibly connect through bluetooth and get live weather, etc. There's also iPad kneeboards out there now too. I'm sure this is just the beginning...

    I'm confused...in another thread not far from here, on June 5, you said

    So, is it that you need another Ipad or you want one to trade for the Bose X or other items in the trading post (since the Bose X is now gone)...please clarify

    I have any number of abandoned, formerly-stolen SUVs and trucks I can offer for trade. They're as-is with maybe some work needed, and you'll have to go out to the desert and haul them out yourself, but I'll happily offer them in trade........:D

    Does sounds fishy, but I have the answer. He traded off his other Ipad, now he needs another one. Of course I could let him speak for himself, but I just felt like posting something. And the way this thread is trending it looked like he needed a little help. ;)

    Precisely, it's not that I didn't want to keep my previous iPad but hey, see a good deal and jump on it. Basically bought a Bose X for $300 in the end. I didn't really need 32 gigs of storage either (I accidentally told the guy 16). I have an iPod for music, and not much of a need for storing movies, etc. Just back in the market, as previously stated would like to get an Ipad app going in the airplane.

    And yes, it's like an 8th grade locker room in here and I'm the kid getting pushed in a cold shower. It's a "hand me down" ripped version that I borrowed from a friend over a year ago. It's not like I'm sitting around burning copies all day and selling them on eBay.

    It's beginning to seem like it will be tough to have a used 16 gig 1st gen in my hands for under $300. Starting to think it would be a better idea to just finance an iPad 2 through Best Buy. 0% for 18 months, or about $30 a month. Hmmm...
