    Spend some time in Russia - the taxi cabs are far scarier than the airplanes!

    Scared my self flying with Russian instruments before though. For some reason, the Russians thought it was more logical to have Brown be UP and Blue be DOWN on their Attitude Indicators. WTF?

    If the pilot has had enough vodka, he will already think he is upside down so the instrument would actually appear upright.

    If you get an actual taxi as opposed to what is known as a "Gypsy Cab" which takes you out to the middle of nowhere, demands more money and threatens to put a slug into you if you do not comply!

    Not that I have any experience with that, but I do have a lot of idiotic crewmembers that take unnecessary risks in former Eastern Bloc nations.

    The ending was really touching. It's a shame he lost his medical- you can tell the immense pain he was going through when he was told he could no longer fly.
