I heard it was about a 15% increase from current pay levels, but I haven't seen any numbers yet. If I do, I will share them here.

I"ll keep an eye out for it too. Our ramp contract is in negotiations right now too, so if it's a good pay increase, I'm sure our union will use it as leverage for a raise on the ramp.

If you guys get a copy, can you post what they changed in the area of sick time and absenteeism? Gary is making a big deal about that stuff now, so I'm curious what sort of things he's looking to change in the various CBAs about it.

Wow! That is a HUGE game changer, good for them! They deserve it. I wonder if the contract affects the asst dispatchers as well?

From what I heard when I was down there, ASST DX are paid 76% of the dispatch salary. If what is written is true, that is a MONUMENTAL contract!

Tell you what if I was an SWA maintenance controller I would be getting my ADX and moving into dispatch...Pressure will be on SWA now if they really did bump them up that much..The story I heard was an arbitrator let them compare salaries to UPS. Well mechanics will want the same thing if thats the case.
