Solar Eclipse...

Just had a neat Solar Eclipse here in the southwestern states... I envy everyone who was flying into LAX (or really anywhere in the southwest) between about 6:20-6:50 where you could look at it through the tinted sunscreens + sunglasses in the cockpit. Must have been an awesome sight.

I shot this with my camera, through a dirty welding mask, right around the point where the sun was being blocked the most.



It was fun to watch during the whole process.

Yeah, I was worried I wouldn't see it with all the forest fire smoke in AZ. Hazy, but pretty awesome.

I think I am blind but I saw it.

I remember that during grade school. Everyone went outside to watch. We were given a special sun filter thing to look through. (not sunglasses)

Did anyone see it in flight? That would have been pretty cool.

I saw it. ABQ was right on the line, so we had one of the best views in the country.

My girlfriend and I went out to see it yesterday, but we thought it'd be later than it was, so we missed the peak. It was still cool though.

I remember this! I was in high school at the time and we used our welding masks from shop class!

You are correct. Reverse image lookup it is fake from http://nethskie.deviantart.com/art/High-Altitude-Eclipse-177573920 .

The part that is fake is the elipse is larger. The sky is from a real image.
