I've met a few guys who are not adept at it, or couldn't handle my working or my traveling. Funny thing was, they also traveled a lot as well, but I guess they wanted their woman to be available for them when it was convenient for them - didn't happen with me, so I moved on.

    No idea.

It does, however, take a very independent spouse if one is a pilot/FA and the other isn't.

I do know a guy whose wife calls literally every two hours to her husband over in Europe about home stuff. It's kind of bizarre. Sitting having dinner, *ring!* *ring!* their son has locked themselves in his room and won't come out. A couple more hours *ring!* *ring!* doesn't know where the key to the shed is. *ring!* *ring!* the kids want to go out to pizza when you get home.

That would drive me off the wall!

Meaning you're already on the wall to start with?!

How long have they been married, and how does he react to those calls? Because it smells like a recipe for marital disaster.

Good point about the wall, my friend.

I have no idea how long they've been married but I'd suspect they weren't newlyweds. It was awkward for everyone involved so it had to awkward for him too. I've seen that before though.

Can you spell I-N-S-E-C-U-R-E? Either that, or he's on a very short leash for a good reason. ;)
I had a male friend and an ex-boss who had to deal with that crap and the look of panic on their face when their phone rang was pathetic.

Eh, I make notes and save all that for one or maybe two conversations in a day. If I know he's got a really long day, or gets in super-late, I may not even talk to him at all for the day. Whatever, I remember how it sucked to get in after being delayed all day at 2am. The last thing anyone needs is their phone ringing with demands from home!

The most I'll do is send a text message here and there if it's something really note-worthy or that I think he may want to see right away. Texts are quick to send, quick to read and don't require immediate attention.

    Calling constantly = annoying!

That's what's sad. I might have to go crawling back to AT&T after my fiery "I don't care if you charge me a cancellation fee, it'll suck far less than having to deal with you *expletive deleteds* ever again".

    *sigh*

I have ATT. The cool thing is to get an unlocked phone. When you go to the far side of the planet, get a pre-paid GSM card. Voila` instant celly-cel on your terms :D

Yup, walking around Lennox Square Mall the other day and seeing some peeps made me think of you Max. You would love it here! I love it here b/c of the reduced competition for the sistas. That didn't last too long as Im out of the running now.:D BTW thanks of the info on the text. Ran to Walmart, got the goods and saved the day:nana2:

Oh yea...brothas love to be on the DL, seriously! Women beware.

ATL being the largest city in the southeast, it's naturally is going to be a very large gay mecca due to it's sheer size, it's also one of the fastest growing cities in the country. Add in the fact that many people move to ATL to escape their small rural life, and live life out loud and proud.

I would love to live in the ATL, it's long ben my favorite city. But from what you and others have told me I might get rolled bad. As Doug would say, I'm sensitive, lol. ATL is on a totally different level than what this small town boy from a city with a mere population of 1.5 mil is used to!

    :p

Glad that I was able to save the day yo!

Eh, we left AT&T for a reason. We will not go back.

Verizon, bay-bee. We haven't had a dropped call in ages, and Bill gets reception everywhere he goes and in every crew lounge.

Unlocked GSM is the only way to go. I used United-Mobile and I have a UK telephone number for overseas. I purchased a Skype-In number which forwards to my UK number overseas. Free incoming on United-Mobile and only what, $0.02/minute for Skype to forward the call? Pretty cool.
