I have an interview coming up with Pacific Wings and was wondering if anyone has ever worked for them. Most of the posts I've seen are from people who know someone else who worked for them.
It seems like there is a lot of negative out there and just wonderied if anything has changed.
PM me if you want. I have questions.
    Thanks JC'ers

Don't do it. I've never seen a sadder more demoralized person in my life than the times I have seen a NMA pilot, and that's counting watching Schindler's List. Also you will eventually, probably quickly, be fired.

I spoke to a person who worked there the other day. He said that the owner is really immature and that he has personally seen him fire people over stupid stuff. I interviewed and was offered a position, but after theadvice of members on here opted nnot to take it.

Thanks for the info. What have people gotten fired over? The reason I took the interview is that I just dont have a lot of options these days, and i'm just flight instructing part time, which isn't getting me a lot of hours.

Yeah, I PM'd them to get some more specifics. Thanks for the heads up.
Of course I already have my plane ticket, so maybe i'll go and have fun. I can always report what goes on during the interview. The interview is also held at "Gate E1" at ABQ. At least I dont have to leave the airport!

Remember to wear a pilot shirt and Ray Bans to the interview.

Usually refusing to fly their airplanes into dangerous conditions. The guy who does the Hobbs run a lot for Chartran/Lynx said he was fired from NMA for refusing to fly a non-boot equipped airplane into known icing.

I'd fly banners again before I flew for them.

I interviewed there about 18 months ago and didn't get the job, probably thankfully. A buddy of mine from college interviewed, got the job, did the time and has moved on, AFAIK. Pay sucks but at least you get a base to live in.

I know someone that left then a little while ago. Said they weren't as bad as what internet people have been saying. Guy was from the Hawaii portion of PW.

Flying for them in Hawaii sounds significantly better since you wouldn't have to worry about being pressured to fly their non-equipped planes into icing conditions. Im still in shock that this goes on and even more surprised that the FAA hasn't seized their planes yet because of this extreme nonsense.

Eh, I could see the FAA shutting them down, but the FAA has zero jurisdiction to seize aircraft.

Try Transpac, Aerosim, ATP, Flight Safety, IASCO, or AriBen... All MUCH better places to work than PacWings. If you have CFI, you really shouldn't be considering PacWings..
