I've eluded to it, but things have been finalized, and its official: I'm trading in my floatplane sperry topsiders for polished black shoes. Going to pick up the FA20 next week. Shes a beauty:

The scariest part is the flight deck is going to be occupied by not one, but two ex float pilots.

In the GE powered F model we flight planed 440K and would see about .76 to .77 unless we were stretching the range then it was about 420K and .73. An old D model that I flew BOW was 1200 lbs less and it would do around 450K and sometimes .80 if we were pushing it. I would think the 731 model would do a little better but I only flew one once and I can not remember the numbers.

With a .88/390K redline we could outrun most anything in the decent. On the F we planed 2500-2600 lbs the first hour, 2200 second, and 2000 the third. After 3 1/2 hours you wanted to see the airport.

Sorry I didn't get back to you, but the book for our F model with the -731s says MMO is .86

I haven't actually sat in the thing yet, but when I do, I'll be sure to show off the pics. :)

Just from the numbers I've been brushing up on, the 731 is greatly improved over the GE variant. IIRC from the book, 1600 at long range, and about 2200-2400 max. Although, I've had a few beers, so I might be way off. :)
