Needing Help Preparing for Airline Interviews

Hey everyone. I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on how to prepare for an airline interview. I have looked at some of the other forums on this site, along with other websites, but wanted to see if anyone would respond.

I recently turned 21 and have 250 TT and 15 multi with all my ratings except my MEI (which I am currently working on), CFII, and ATP. I am an intern for American Airlines in Dallas, Texas, and would like to get on with Eagle in about 8 months (would love to hear from and meet Eagle new hires, along with other new hires from other airlines). Any airline that is looking to hire is who I will try and apply for. I am the first pilot in my family, and am unsure about the interview process and what airlines are looking for in potential employees.

My biggest questions so far are:
    1. How does one prepare for an interview?
    2. What websites provide helpful information?
    3. Which airlines are worth applying for?
    4. What are pilots expected to know for the interview (technical questions)?
    5. What study aids should a person use to learn the items they do not know?
    6. How far in advance should one start prepairing for an interview?
    7. What kind of experience are airlines looking for in new hire pilots?
    8. Do young pilots feel like they do not know enough to do well in the interview?
    9. Would someone be willing to work with me by giving me mock interviews to prepare me for the big day?
All replies, IMs, and e-mails will be appreciated. Looking forward to reading what you have to say, and will have more questions as the weeks go on, don't worry :). I will hopefully write a better thread next time since this is my first time writing one. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Might want to start by reading this thread first. http://www.jetcareers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=42853

If you are not in a bridge program I would forget about any airline job right now and focus on getting my MEI and II. Then focus on finding a way to keep your head above water ($$) until you can get about 600/100 hours at least. After that, then may be a good time to really focus on airline jobs. I am sure the entire landscape will have changed by then too.

    Welcome to the party!

Well, I am thinking if he reads that, and combines it with the flight school marketing he can find reality in there somewhere close to the middle.

Oh, and the more the merrier!

We hope to do Mock interviews at NJC again in LAS this year, but also when ready I can do a phone interview with you. I have been known to do a few now.

I'm not a 121 pilot, I just play one on these boards!

I really do mock interviews though, just ask!

Hey, thanks for the offer. I will definitely take you up on your offer one of these days. Depending on where you are, I could also meet you in person if that would be easier. Feel free to contact me anytime.

Thanks for the info. I know I do not have a lot of hours at the moment, but a lot of regional airlines are hiring with 500-600 TT. Since I am an intern for AA, I can fly with them with around 500 TT and 100 ME. I am also planning on instructing in Texas, which will help me build a lot of time fast if I get a job. I will hopefully have enough hours to start interviewing in January.
