Mr. Boston John

So i'm sure many of you have listened to the all great Boston John on youtube. Definitely one of my favorite youtube video collections of all time. Has anyone had any real world experience with this guy? I JUST found out what MOCHA HAGOTDI meant.....love it. Hopefully I'll have a chance to get to speak to him, if he's still around these days.

When I flew in and out of BOS with Cape, I talked to John on a somewhat regular basis. MOCHA HAGoTDI, SSSSEEEEEYUHHHH.

I've talked to him going in and out of BOS, always call us PILAAAtuss, great controller!

If you want to hear some really funny stuff, see if you can find JQF tower. The controller there is animated to say the least, he literally sings every clearance to you. It was hilarious because my capt was handing the raidio on that leg and I told him "watch out this guy is animated" and he kind of had a "what are you talking about" look on his face. I wish I could describe it better, but even for takeoff the other day he was like 'pillAAAATUSSS XXX runnnnnnwaaaaayyyyyyy two zerooOOOO cleeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaared for takeeeeoffffff!" It almost sounds like a church hymn when he's saying it, me and the Capt were doing our best to not laugh, but I ended up laughing a couple time on the radio when he handed us off haha

I think I heard he took a Sup job and isn't on the radios very much these days.

Oh man thats to bad. I love people who love their jobs as much as that. Simply awesome.

Boston John is indeed a sup now, he went to the dark side. Make sure you give him crap about that whenever you get up to the tower.

He's is a nice guy and always great on the radio.
