That's the way to approach it. AH isn't really that bad. I've had six or so stan flights over the years with him. Let him show you a lazy 8 and he'll be happy. He will criticize you for a few things only because he has to. It's not a big deal.

Luckily I don't have to do lazy 8's or chandelles. Just the ME procedures. We have two presentations to give. One VFR and an IFR. Then we have a VFR frasca and a VFR flight followed by IFR frasca and flight.

You can't forget about the "written test" afterwards

Well they changed it up. Now most of us have CK for the brief/flight. Any good insights there?

CK is a great guy. Really nice and seems very fair. Just know your stuff and you'll do fine.

Ask him about flying the DC3 in Africa.

I use to introduce myself to a group of students with him, and to have to tell my story and experience level before or after him was always humbling. Probably the nicest man on the planet, as well as one of the best pilots to have in an airplane and as an instructor. Guaranteed, you will learning something valuable from him.

I agree "B". Plus he has held "literally" every job title / position at the academy except "Chief Pilot." He's A-OK in my book.

I'm fairly certain most of the people are finishing up. We get to do ground this week to learn scheduling and other computer things. I know there's still a couple SE guys that have to fly again. The ME guys still have the IFR brief/frasca/flight, then they'll be done.

I guess FSA is in need of some MEIs. Just the other day they put out an offer for current CFIs. Sign a year long contract and FSA will pay for your MEI...

Lol....rocket....nice! 1990's computer technology is great! B767, I also heard DG is finally paying for Academy CFI's MEI's. About time, they don't have a choice now-a-days.

Any new instructors in town for FSA looking for a place to live? I'll be leaving this friday (4/6/12) and my current roommate "also an FSA IP" wil be needing someone to takeover my portion of the rent, still has until Jan 2013 on the lease so no worries there. The place is Vero Green apt, only 5 minutes from KVRB. PM for more info.

A little birdie told me that DG is gone. This cannot be a bad thing. How are things under NR?
