The pilot radioed authorities, and Port Authority cops busted Bernard Seabrooks on charges of menacing and weapons possession.

His alleged motive was unclear, but cops do not believe it was terror-related.

No matter how hard I try I just don't see the fun or the reasoning behind why people believe this to be an effective use of time.

Awesome....I have observed this from both the cockpit, as well as back in the sardine can on an airliner, and it pisses me off like no other. Glad to see the SOB got slapped by the long arm of the law. I too cannot comprehend how this seems like something reasonable to do to others

I wonder if the fueling company is now accepting applications? :dunno:

Sadly there are more comments defending this idiot than condemning him!

Glad they nailed him. Most people are getting away with it (albeit with the green ones)... last time I read about someone getting caught, he got a pretty severe sentence.

I wonder how many laser pointers are actually being used for legitimate business purposes and not pointing at people's crotches. Of course, in some industries, I suppose those are one and the same.

I say we take all the people who are defending this guy, put them out on a dark two lane road at night, make them drive at 85mph, and shine a light into their eye's. They might change their opnion then.

I know fuelers bash pilots all the time (me included) but a laser is a bit too much. I guess he had one too many uplifts. If you want to Pi** off a pilot. Show up 2 min prior to push back, not shine a laser at a him or her:insane:
