    Hey All,

I might be taking a job in either Baton Rouge or Lafayette, LA and wondering if anyone is hanging around the area???

I know very little about the area, and would like to know which of the neighborhoods are good, when we relocate. Which city is better: Baton Rouge or Lafayette? What activities/culture is there to participate in?

What are the corporate operators in the area that might be good for future networking?

    Lifter,

I am from Slidell originally but now live in Mandeville. Both Baton Rouge and Lafayette are quite nice, depending which area.

Baton Rouge - LSU students make up a huge portion of the population. Many people have moved there since Katrina, so it's quite overpopulated.

Lafayette - UL students populate the area in combination with many oil companies, etc. Quite the cajun atmosphere. Really nice area, though.

PM me. I'm only approx 1 hour from BTR. I fly out of HDC and NEW.
