Your company makes your wife fly on a buddy pass? Wow, who is that?

I worked for a compnay that is partially held by Delta, so we could get travel vouchers and buddy passes but were always on the lowest prioity. When it came to moving us for work the company wouldn't even use them, they would just suck it up and buy a ticked (usually on someone other than delta)

Go buy a fully-refundable ticket (yes, it will cost money), go have a look, and then cancel your ticket & get a refund. Be sure you know the fare rules ahead of time so that you're sure you get the refund.

Sure at will, at around 300-500 fpm. Absolutely underwhelming piece of crap the CRJ200 is. But still not remotely as hideously ugly as an A380. Hell, even a Q looks better.

I've worked at Air France at IAD (we have the 380) for 3 months and I still haven't gotten my SIDA badge (10 weeks and counting) so I haven't seen it up close and personal yet. If I have to wait 2+ months to get cleared by home land security (or whoever) good luck finding your way in to a secure area short of buying a ticket.

As for a gate pass, don't get your hopes up. At our station we only write them for UMs and depending on the supervisor, some will write them for a family member of an elderly pax who speaks no English/French.

Most airlines require the agent to sign their name and employee number on the gate pass. So it is entirely possible to find one that does not value their job anymore, and might hook you up!

A380 is a piece of junk. Clearly we've all been trolled.

Mods close this down, move along nothing to see here.

Look for an Expressjet pilot with a JC sticker on his flight case. Then come up and say hi!

At least the Q and CR2 were assembled in North America, even if it was French speaking North America. 380 is still a surrneder monkey of an aircraft.

And 250 fpm is a good day for me lately :(

And with a molestache who struts awkwardly through the terminal like a large, flightless bird.

The molestache is history unfortunately. And I have been domestically disqualified from competing next year. :def:

Oh I well. I had the opportunity to go to a job interview with Express Jet a few months ago but they were unwilling to provide any sort of transportation down to ATL and with only a few days notice I was unable to find any sort of reasonable fare from Pittsburgh.
