Ground Instructor Job (2-5 vacancies)(in Southeast-Asia)

I am posting this onbehalf for a friend. His school requires Ground Instructors! :hiya:First of all, you must be awared that Asian culture is totally different from the West (U.S./Canada/Europe).

Who can apply?
1. Retired Pilot (Military or Civilian)
2. Experienced being a BGI / AGI / IGI
3. Experienced in teaching aviation (Navigational and/or Technical) subjects (e.g. Pinciples of Flight, Flight Planning, Navigation, Meteorology & etc.).

Most suitable for:
1. not demanding about salary (be contented of what you earn and don't dream of how >US$XX,000 per year)
2. retirees (for those nothing to do and want to move on happily)
3. those wanted to enjoy or taste Asian culture. (lots of spicy Asian food to try)
4. those wanted to evade U.S. taxes (yeah....everybody wants to escape)
5. those wanted to have an Asian wife (best for divorcee or fat-ugly bachelor)
6. gays or lesbians (pay to keep a boy or a girl at home if you want to)
7. those wanted to help son/daughter/niece/nephew to get into parental airline. (it is not what you know, is whom you know).
8. those who always wanted to migrate out of the collasping United States (this is your opportunity, grab it or you loose it).
9. those looking forward to 365 days hot humid weather (United States can be freaking cold, stop spending money buying winter clothings and paying gases to heat the house).

Bad things :whatever::
1. Unfortunately, you have pay your air-fare to get here. The school is not responsible.
2. Be extremely patience with the people here.
3. Monthly salary. No advanced pay.

Good things :applause::
1. Accommodation (with utilities) is covered. You do not have to pay a single penny out of your pocket. You have your own house (not a palace, no hot-tub, no swimming pool) with full privacy. You can walk around the house naked all the day long, do you own gardening, keep pets (no joke...you can get monkey, crocodiles, snakes, tiger) and etc.
2. Students treat you like the way being treated as the U.S. President, Mr. Barack Obama.
3. No worries on transportaton. You will be chauffeured comfortably between your house and school.
4. The school will settle your work visa when you are here.
5. Live cheaply, spend cheaply, eat cheaply.

Hoho... I bet you can live in a total different lifestyle in Asia (comparing with the States).

In United States, you have to pay-&-pay, tips-&-tips. taxes everywhere, jobless everywhere, social security is under attack and etc. There are many things, it is sickening and frustrating pay bills all the time.

Since US Dollars is still mildly strong, time to get out of United States, accepting new things/changes in life. The lifestyle is not going to be the same as in United States, but at least you live happily.

I presume you had experience living in Asia.

Hello HVYMETALDRVR, if you were to understand point #7, it is not in Thailand.

In all airlines of Thailand, they only hire (only a few) expat Captains. The rest are reserved for the Thais. I am afraid foreigners (such as First Officer) are almost impossible to get into any Airlines of Thailand (even with connections).

However, in other countries (working in Asia), it is all about human relationship connection.

Living in Southeast-Asia (Add-On)

It is deifnitely a unique experience living here. Be prepared to live with Islamic (Muslim) community.

The people are polite, courteous, and helpful! This place is neither a heaven nor hell but it is a peaceful place to live. No such thing as terrorism.

Highlight (warning: everything is cheap, beware overspending):
1. Beer is god darn cheap. You can be a drunkie whole night long but don't lead bad example for the students (most are airline cadets).

2. Learn to cook Asian food. Probably, build your restuarant here someday. Asian eat rice. Don't complain....eating rice everyday. You must get used to eating rice. Surprsingly, Asians are real slim! You hardly see obese people as comparing to the Americans. Carbohydrate in rice do not contribue to fats... You get sexy ass and waist real soon.

KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Coffee Bean just about 40mins drive (depending on the traffic) from the school.

3. Cigarettes? The cheapest cost US$0.55 a pack of 20 sticks! You gonna get lung/throat cancer, puffing a packet everyday.:crazy:

4. Plenty of Asian women! Pay her monthly salary to sleep with you. Yeah...don't be naughty. I mean, staying together under one roof but different bed). She will be your exclusively maid doing house chores for you (washing, ironing, cooking, and naked massaging etc.).

About the School

The school is expanding. School has 3 campuses (far apart). The nearest campus is 5 hours drive from the main campus.

The school not only require Ground Instructor, but Simulator Instructor too. The school has three FTD and one 3-motions. Four simulators in total and they are located about an hour drive from main campus. The Airbus and Boeing simulators are upstair, four simulators (belong to the school) occupy the lower level.

If you missed and wish to teach in the simulator let me know. This job is good for those who have failed FAA airmen medical examination.

If you want to earn big bucks, this is not a place for you.

The fact that he's not saying 1. Where the school is 2. How much the pay is and 3. They'll figure out your visa once you get there, are huge flags for me. And this is coming from someone who worked in "Asia". Buyers beware.

Yeah, I'm interested, CFI, CFII, Ground Instruction, Flight Instruction, Sim Instruction, FTD Instruction, FTD Maintenance, but the deal breaker is the pay. There is a certain number in my head and if it' below it, no way. Obviously not willing to fly out there just to turn around again. Also helps to know which country as that makes a huge difference. I'm married, but the wife is always up for adventure.
