The only people that Gojet has affected are TSA pilots and that's not through the fault of any Gojet employee. Skywest, ASA, Colgan, Pinnacle, Mesa or any other major player in the regional business have affected the industry way more than a small little airline in the midwest.

No stake?!? Alright princess, let me put this in terms you might understand. Imagine (assuming you can imagine anything other than yourself in the left seat after a quick upgrade) a bunch of lobsters in a bucket trying to get out. As the other lobsters get towards the top close to escaping the bucket, one lobster grabs the others' tail pulling down into the confines of the bucket.
The bucket is the industry which is often referred to as regional he!!, because of its crappy QOL, pay, benefits etc.
The escaping lobsters are other regional carriers doing what they can to escape the bucket, or regional he!!, by working on contracts that improve QOL, pay, benefits, etc.
The lobster pulling the others down is GoJets, by working for way less pay, under worse work rules, and fewer benefits they are lowering the bar that others have tried so hard to raise. This lobster hopes that it's time in the bucket will be not improved but shortened, by a quick upgrade and an eventual upgrade to a legacy carrier.

Don't tell me I don't have a stake in this! I'm trying to support a small family on the regional level, just BARELY making it I consistently reminded that I cost too much. I don't live in my parents basement, I paid for my own flight training I can't afford to work at GoJets, that and I have integrity.

So, why the hell do you work for the regionals then? If you have a family to feed, why are you (and I quote) "barely" making it? Go get a job flying boxes, or working in an office or something that pays a livable wage if its that bad.

Also, for the record, that argument doesn't really hold any water. If you look at the payscales on APC (sorry Doug didn't mean to bring crossforum sketchiness into your living room) the GoJet guys make more at guarantee than do the TSA guys, on both the Captain and FO payscales. Just sayin.

Also, just from a literary standpoint, the lobster analogy is a little over the top. Are you from Maine or something?

God I'd hope so, they are flying bigger aircraft.

Alter ego carriers, in our case Big Sky, destroy bargaining positions. Pilots have long memories, it's not a new phenomenon.

So what? An airplane is an airplane, and basically they do the same thing with about 25-30 more seats, saying, "wahhhh Gojet Sucks the pay sucks" when the company they replaced paid less seems non sequitor to me. Attack GoJet management and the original GoJeters for undercutting TSA, but let's be honest about what GoJet really is.

Also, if I remember correctly, not only is BigSky completely out of business, but BigSky also paid absolute garbage and flew clapped out equipment. Apples and Oranges, though the sentiment is still the same.

Leave? Of course, it can't be soon enough. Not long I'll be home everynight, flying for fun. If I'm getting out why do I care? There are a lot of good friends in this industry
MMG, really? Thats it? "hey my wages suck, as well as my QOL, I'm treated like dirt but my MMG is more than yours!" Look at the big picture, the one beyond APC.

I don't particularly think that you can tell me in good conscience that QOL and treatment is markedly better at TSA over Go Jet.

My wife encouraged me to start this tread to find out what It's like to work for one of the most hated regional in the country. I told her how it would turnout. Thanks to you guys and gals I'll getting laid tonight. See we had a bet which I won. I did some checking on the pay scale issue turns out gojet do pay more than some regional, overall they do pay the industry average. As for the current contract its competive in the industry. There are some small differance in the 401k matching. Once more thank you guys for getting me laid tonight.
