If you are a current Gojet employee can you please offer some insight on what its like to work for the company. After reading all the bad things people say about the company it'll be refreshing to hear from someone who actually work there. Please, should you have nothing of interest to say I encourage you to say nothing. In case you are wondering I don't work there, but i'm interested in hearing from a current employee.

Well it's a pretty sweet job. I feel bad that I basically got a job to get around another company's contract negotiations buy oh well. Everyone here treats me well but I commute, and I miss 3 out of 4 flights on average because other people don't like me.

We are IBT now so we have knock your knees off representation.

Training is pretty simple - the callsign is the hardest part. They teach you that you can imagine yourself solo over the Atlantic becoming a hero pilot, and to state your callsign with that authority.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Seriously..

TSA was not in contract negs and Gojets wasn't started because of anything to do with TSA pilots.

You can say what you want but at least get the story right.

You can count on your hand the people that actually care about GJ at TSA . It's done and done. Burnt to a crisp. It's more of ignoring them than actual hatred for them. Other TSA pilots that I talk to would have accepted the flying if they actually knew the truth but there was a lot of stuff shady stuff that happened in 05 with the MEC. They were basically lied to by him weren't told this can actually happen.

It's ironic that offline pilots that have no stake in it are still talking it up on the forums, most of which don't know anything about it other than it's a "scab" company.

Can someone explain why everyone hates GoJet so much but not JetBlue. Does JetBlue also not have a union?

Here's your chance to "set us all straight", since we have no clue what in the world we're talking about...

I'm going to assume you aren't trolling when I say it has nothing to do with unions.

Remember when Neo went to see "The Architect" in the Matrix where he talks about the rhythm of the world and how life repeats itself in perpetuity? Wellllllllll... :)

You may say that, but in the environment of pattern bargaining...having even a single new entry into the CPA lift segment poses potential huge downside risks to those companies, and thus the labor of that company, in Section 6 negotiations. Potential lose of CPA agreements with mainline partners, and potential lose of negotiating capital and an erosion of negotiating foundation due to lower cost potential available to undercut current labor groups.

Further, scab is quite a drastic term and few respectable folks would actually say it with any substantive meaning behind it. However, GoJets will - for better or worse - remain a black mark on most folks when viewed by people who see the Company as a threat to their profession and the quality of life that they enjoy due to hard work achieved through substantial negotiating gains only to watch get eroded due to the new entrant.

So, no...offline pilots actually do have a stake in what occurred with GoJets, TSA, and Trans States Holdings, Inc.
