The news is reporting 3 violations of the TFR, 1 landed at KCMA, 1 at Chino this morning, the escort I saw could have been trying to get to KVNY but I can't figure out where it landed and the news only mentions it without much detail. Watching/listening to the F-16 trying to get this guys attention was a great way to start the day. He was flying straight and level headed west at maybe 6000 ft (just a guess) and the F-16 was in and out of burner and circling the guy as well as being at a high AOA trying to form up on him. (anybody got a spare pair of pants I can borrow?)

@knot4u I saw something earlier that it was a PA28. And I know one landed at KEMT but not sure if it was the Piper or the Cessna.

KEMT is east of me and the aircraft was headed almost due west with the escort, straight and level. Approx 9:30 this morning.

Well not sure which one it was then. I was at my flight school a couple hours ago and just saw one landed at El Monte.

To add to this: around 2pm left coast time on guard repeated multiple times, aircraft on such and such a radial not squacking, heading 120, gs 120 kts, this is the US Air Force and you are in a restricted area please contact the FAA on this freq....someone is not going to have a good day

Looked at the TFR, seems like if you filed a flight plan, IFR/VFR, you can transit the outer circle as long as you squawk a discrete code, remain in radar contact, and stay in 2way comm with ATC. Not a problem above my house, perhaps the F-16 was a little proactive?

They scrambled them 4 times through the TFR. I got to go pounding right through it though. I thought it was wierd how quite it was.

Yeah, I work in LA and the TFRs really can put a damper on things. Every time Obama is in town somebody, without a doubt, SOMEONE will bust the TFR. The ones I do not like are the Stadium TFRs that are not published.... We as pilots should "just know" when a game is on.

Last year the gubment sent a Blackhawk out after me in the DC area. Apparently it was a controller error and no fault of my own. I could almost hear the lightbulb above the controllers head clicking on when I asked approach why the Air Force was trying to contact me on guard.

In the DC area, F-16's are dispatched in pairs to intercept. They fly a circular pattern, with one aircraft always in firing position. Are intercepts done this way in any other part of the country? I didn't realize some areas dispatched only one fighter to intercept.

Not only that, if I show up to a city I've never been to, how in the heck am I supposed to know A) Where the stadium is, B) Is the team at home, and C) When it is over.

The intercept I saw had only 1 F-16, would imagine D.C. would be different fom L.A..
