    When WMU had an old NW 747 sitting on their ramp without engines they frequently had to clear the snow off the horizontal stabilizer to prevent the thing from tipping over on its tail. They had a really smart guy there figure out how many inches of snow it would take based on the densest snow fall that typically occurred in the region.

    I used to basically 'live' in the back of that 74 when I worked at Southern... it's sad to know that it is being scrapped. It's too bad that I can't go and buy a piece off of it... I also wonder if my sleeping bag is still on the upper deck.
