I'm not looking right now (not even qualified...) but I was curious about opportunities in the greater Chicagoland area? I don't know of many jump zones, I'm sure there are CFI gigs if you have the right networking, but aside from that, what is there? I'm close to Dupage and Aurora, but just curious if there are any 135 operators based around here, etc...

    Thanks.

I'm a CFI out of KDPA, and I'll tell you now, all the contacts I've made with everyone from the head of the training department for United Airlines, head of training for Priester Aviation, chief pilot for Johnson and Johnson, chief pilot for McDonalds, best friend with the chief pilot for Korbel and Brothers champagne company, etc... have all been as a CFI at my company, or just walking into an open hangar with a resume...

Good to know. I'm starting ATP at DPA in a few weeks, so I was just curious. What company are you with?

Ahh, I looked at them...weren't willing to work with me and the Post 9-11 GI Bill. Mountain State University and ATP have used me as a test case, so they get to reap the benefits of over $25K a semester. We'll have to hook up some time to get a beer when I'm up there...Two Brother's isn't too far away.

Yep, my company's hockey club rents a sheet for an hour and a half every Tuesday night. I'm one of the goalies.
