Looking for something in the Chicago area.

Times are 920/517ME, I do not want to go back to instructing but am open to other avenues.

Currently employed at a 121 carrier, but the future seems to be getting darker by the day.

    Thanks for the help

    I wish I could! That's a little far and a little expensive!

Dude Cameron ExpressJet is hiring if you want out of Eagle. Otherwise go to Dupage Airport and put out some business cards. Talk to the owner of the pilot shop there he has a few connections in the local area. he is a great guy too. I forgot you were in Chicago bro.

I bet you it is about the same price as living in Chicago! Plus you don't have to deal with deicing haha!

    Welcome to aviation. Simpre Gumby.

Never ever ever let your instructor cert lapse, unless you really get your rocks off on doing a checkride again. ;) After moving 4 time in 10 years, 2x 121 furloughs within 6 months, I have kept my CFI tickets current, and they almost always got my foot in the door. Did I like it? Heck no. I'm tired of people trying to kill me. I had my ATP, 135 experience, blah blah blah...BUT it got me in. One time, it didn't. I didn't have my A&P, but I took a job as an apprentice, made some money, and it kept me at the airport. Guess who got the next CFI job? Guess who eventally got asked to manage/fly a Baron and sit right seat for some corporate operators? The last time it got my foot in the door, about 6 months later I was flying another Baron and got a PIC check in a King Air.

Don't knock the CFI. Keep an open mind, network, and it can open doors for you.

Forever FO is pretty much the way it is at Eagle, and furlough door is right around the corner for me.

It's too bad you don't have 1500 and ATP because they are looking for captains here.
