A buddy of mine just finished the program at ISP and he had no complaints. I fly out of ISP and can tell you its a good area to fly out of. Good exposure to busy airspace with the class B just west of here and quiet E to the east..

From what I know of ATP Islip is that they're the busiest flight school at Long Island MacArthur Airport. Its a good school, I would recommend it to anyone

I used to fly out of Republic, been to islip a few times, as of right now i havent decided what location to attend, for i want to get as much as i can starting at the beginning of may through the beginning of september, i was considering going to the ATP phoenix, or Dallas location, for weather advantages, since we get a few storms during the summer

ATP has 4 airplanes at Islip. According to their website, they have 151 airplanes so they can move airplanes around at their different locations to meet student demand. Islip pricing is $64990 and Phx is cheaper. Either way, ATP probably offers the best package to meet the needs of a professional pilot.

If you decide to stay in New York for flight training, I would say ATP Islip is the only option. You can start and finish all your training during the summer, unlike all the other schools where the pace is a lot slower. Plus what you're getting for $64,990 is a lot for the best price. All the other schools will charge alot more for all that multi time.
