Are you with Airnet? If so, a couple of questions?

    What are hiring mins?
Is everyone based out of CMH? If not, where else are they based?
    What is your a/c mix?
Do you have two man flight crews? If so, what a/c?
How does scheduling look? 4 on 3 off? etc.
    Starting salaries?

    Thanks for your help.

I'm no higher-up but I'd say no. 1050 hours or so to attend training from what I'm hearing.

Masters degrees are a must for flying freight. Doctorate preferred.

Obviously not, but a lot of employers look highly at pilots with advanced degrees. In some cases, depending upon the company, this can get you in the door with lower hours. That is what my question was asking.

Yup, 1050s about it right now for when training starts. You can get hired with lower TT, but will be told to build up to 1050 before starting training.

And while everyone banters about what they did at Delta House:insane: , degrees don't seem to make a difference here with new pilots, but more importantly how you use what you've learned in life will help you through the interview. Airnet wants pilots who are not afraid to hand-fly an airplane, by themselves, at night, in weather (too include icing or turbulence or both) and be able to fly an arrival and an ILS to 1800 RVR ceiling obscured 100VV at 330 AM like that's the kind of flying they intended to do since they first learned to fly. So, if the idea of that excites you don't be afraid to apply now, whether or not you are at minimums. Being familiar (from applying early and updating your resume often) with any recruiter helps, especially at Airnet!

I got a call from Airnet a week ago about my online application. It went to my voicemail though...

I have not been able to get ahold of them since. I have left a message and have called every day, twice a day (morning and evening). It always says there is no one availible and then goes to a message service....

    Whats up over there?

Keep calling. They'll get back to you eventually. I know vacations have been running rampant lately. There's only two people under Craig and they have to run daily interviews and make phone calls. It's alot of work!

Ok, so I got the rejection email a while ago. Sucks :{ I wasn't prepared for the phone interview and missed some technical questions...I know I can do better.

Does this mean that I am blacklisted from being considered again? I dont see anything on the website that talks about reapplying. I want to work for Airnet so bad.

I have one semester of college left. I intend to finish that up by December and would like to apply again.

Anyone know if you can apply again and if so how long you have to wait?
Should I just keep updating my application?

    Thanks for the info.

    Falconvalley,

Silly question coming from me, so excuse any ignorance.

I'm going to be living in the Atlanta area, what are the possibilities of being hired into the BHM base, and commuting from ATL to BHM for my flights?

Commuting, bottomline, would be a headache. . . but if I were "lucky" to get based at BHM, the ATL commute would be reasonable. Moreover, do you know of any plans for Airnet to have a prop base at ATL or PDK in the future?

It could have been done in the past, but I haven't heard much of people being hired into bases. Usually after you complete training you bid on whatever base is available at the time. (I have noticed some recent exceptions though). Since you're on the bottom of the totem pole when you get out of training, pretty much anyone else that bids will get it instead of you. My understanding is that most BHM runs are somewhat sought after so I would imagine it's not incredibly likely that you'd get to go there, at least initially.
