I volunteer at an aviation museum, and this plane very recently was flown in; it's the Bleriot XI, the first to fly across the English Channel (did it back in 1909). Anyway, thought I'd share.

Pretty cool... I think that you can buy one of those 'make your own' kits/plans for that particular plane.

What is harder - flying a 767 across the Atlantic or flying the Bleriot across the English Channel?

I would say the 767. It's hard to stay awake that long.

Yes you can, and they are ridiculously cheap. I want to build a Sopwith Camel from them...

I've been staring at the Nieuport 17's from that same site for the last couple of months... trying to figure out how to budget the money for it after the wife and I get our first house next year.

If you're interested in what's Hard, Waco, you're living in the wrong freaking decade. Probably Century. Amalgamation and Capital. That's what we're about. If you haven't, watch HBO's series Deadwood. And if, in the end, you're not rooting for Hearst, you're actually one of Us, you faker. And if you are, then I declaim you and your friendship. Unless there's some money in it for me.

Deadwood was a great show. I was extremely disappointed when HBO canceled it!
