| Selling this Pilot III, which has been a trusty backup for $200 shipped. PM me if you are interested. Details are below. It comes with the original box, the transceiver, battery, charger, and headset adapter. The Vertex Standard VXA-300 Pilot III features a submersible design that can withstand water intrusion at 3 feet for up to 30 minutes. Great for flight line personnel and anyone using a transceiver outdoors where it may rain. In addition it's 800 mw audio amplifier makes the Pilot III louder than any other handheld transciver available today (for example, it's about 30% louder than the Icom IC-A23). The Pilot III is pwered by a high capacity 1400 Mah Ni-MH battery that will last over 14 hours between charges. More great features for the VXA-300 Pilot III: * 5 watt TX output power * 8.33 Khz channel spacing (RX only) * Built in VOX (voice activiated) for "hot mic" that is fully adjustable * Nav-Comm display * 200 memory channels with 8 character alpha-numeric titles * NOAA weather receive * Back lit keypad and display * Built in P.A. mode * Extra large LCD display (30% larger display characters) * One touch squelch adjustment * Receive battery saver (extends battery charge life) * Three (3) Year Parts and Labor Warranty

| Just to test out the signal strength, I've done a couple of complete patterns with all the calls to see if anyone could tell any difference from the regular radio. They couldn't. Keep in mind, we're talking close range, but still. It's a great transceiver. I hope someone jumps on this at $150.
