Heh. So the skipper on my trip is flipping through an issue of Trade-A-Plane. Apparently he wants to get into GA flying again. At one point, he says "Didn't you say you used to fly 1900s?" I looked. Dang, that paint looks familiar, I thought. Take another look- it's LVU, formerly of Colgan Air. The much maligned "L-V-Underdog", arguably one of the hangar queens of the Colgan 1900 fleet is for sale by the Raytheon Aircraft Corp. Anybody wanna go in on a.... slightly used... Beech 1900D? I've already got time in it.. so I know it flies straight... sorta. LOL

I remember seeing a few of the ex-YV/ZV 1900s for sale, some with new N#s. I've always wanted to pick one up for some "fun" flying. Too bad we have no money. So instead of the $100 hamburger, we're talking about the $1000 hamburger? |

Yep, LVU is very much sitting on the ramp in AUG this morning. Seems kinda funny there would be an add for sale since it's still on the line.

Weird. I rememer the tail number and everything. It was a CJ airplane. Maybe LVU is being 'sold in advance'.... or it was just a stock photo. Either way, it was kinda weird. Sorta like a piece of my history was for sale. Be kinda odd to own it, ya know? Like... "hey, grab some friends we're going flying."
