Prefer a used set, in the market for an ANR headset, and this seems to be a headset that provides a nice balance of comfort, price, and noise reduction. Thanks!

I have this headset (not for sale - sorry!) And I like it well enough, but here are two things that suck about it - - Battery life is only good for about 20 hours - The latch on the battery box is very weak and breaks easily They are comfy, yet they are pretty bulky. The ANR does work very well. Just wanted you to have more info before you bought a set. |

Thanks for the heads up. My biggest concern is the best noise reduction possible, and these seem to be up there, without being as expensive as the bose. Almost 1000 hours in the Seminole cfi'ing and I'm getting achy these days wearing my DC's. Have you been able to replace the latch on the battery box? Bulky is ok for now, it MAY become an issue when I get my next job, but I'll cross that road when I get to it, I've got another 400 hrs to burn in the seminole, and want to protect my hearing. |

I sent the headset to Telex, and even though it wasn't under warranty they not only replaced the battery box, they refurbished the whole headset for no charge. You just have to be very careful when changing the batteries. The ANR is great (I fly Barons and Chieftains and couldn't imagine doing so without ANR), but if I didn't get free batteries from work I'd get a different headset. |
