I have a pair as a part of my IR/CPL kit from Jeppesen. I would not recommend them. Sorry. Although they look cool with the headband and flip-up like some of those baseball outfielder sunshades, they are not very good for actual IFR training. They do not block out enough peripheral vision. If I had to buy a pair, I would get the foggles or the ASA visor type of thing. If you have either and want to trade...I will happily trade out my Jeppshades. Oh, I have thought about using a burqa (the traditional arab woman's head thingie), but I can't seem to find one. I'll trade for one of those too.

But, if she makes you put on that super hood, like the one that looks like one of those things they put on dogs after getting the dog a snip snip, but the super hood would be cut in half, you wouldn't have an option and couldn't see her.  I was in full IMC yesterday for 2.4 and it felt like I was playing my damn Xbox. I was all over the place. That is when I realized that cheating was a super NO NO. So, I get rid of the Jeppshades and get that half of a dog snip snip collar....I will have no choice, and I cannot cheat. And, by the way, tell Ray to quit renaming all of the Indians to American names. Just because Neelmeshnamurthy sounds like the American equivilent to Neil...doesn't mean that it is right

I totally recommend the Francis Hood. That thing will clean your scan up in no time.
