This could be your lucky day. Hey DE727UPS, are you still trying to sell your 152? And aren't you in Washington state?

hey don when are you gonna start renting out your geronimo? I'd like to build a few hours in it and compare it to our beat up old 150 hp one.

I'm never gonna rent it out without me in it. Insurance and some other factors come into play. Right now it's getting a Garmin 430 put it and you have the winter weather coming up, so I don't think I'll be doing a lot with it right away. |

he needs the sparrowhawk conversion so he can land and takeoff from small unimproved fields in mexico... that way he can smuggle the rest of his family here | |

I'm not doing it, yet. Still getting the avionics work done and am in no particular hurry as it's winter. I was thinking I'd just charge $30/hr more than The Aviators time building rate and let it fluctuate with gas prices. So, about $120 to start and see how it goes. I won't be offering instruction or any signoffs for ratings. I'll be burning premium auto gas. You guys should consider a nice Apache for your next twin, unless you're getting 100LL at $3/gal or something. The 150's and 160's can burn autogas. The twin Comanche and Aztecs can't. |

You're probably gonna pay about 20K more for for a nice Twin Comanche vs a just as nice Apache. If fuel cost isn't a factor, I'd say fleet commonality is a big deal. Worth 20K in a heartbeat.
