Bought them in May 06. I didn't want to part with them so soon, I've changed jobs and I need something else. They have about 150hrs use on them and work great. PM me if interested. I paid $580 for them new... I'm thinking of something in the 4 hunny range; make me an offer! Comes with carrying case. *link removed*

Was thinking of a sennheiser 25. Since I'm going to a quieter cockpit I just don't need the princess leigh earmuffs filling up my flight bag anymore! (trying to find some ebay deals on it)

I bought some factory refurbished from CMW Aviation Supplies and the owner Warren (Delp) really treated me well. edit to add: Looks like the current price on the HMEC-25KA is $379.95 after discounts.

I recommend the Telex Airman 750 or 850 for ANR. Attachment 1350 Those Sennheisers are still pretty bulky. What new job? Skywest?

I really like the 45 and you can get a refurbished set from CMW at right around $350, with a 2 year factory warranty. Great price considering the factory lists them at $789. ![]() <edit to add> Just found a private website with lots of headsets reviewed by airline pilots. Not much feedback from corporate or RJ guys that I could see, but lots of pretty good information there. Noticed that the Sennheiser 25's go through batteries much quicker than the 45's. Plenty of good comments on the 850's as well.

I'm game and will look forward to it. The drive out to BUR or VNY is pretty much impossible traffic-wise for me so I hope it'll be more out this way (SNA) or LGB area.

I've used both the HMEC 25KAs and the Telex 850's - the winner hands down is the Telex!! Don't even think about the -25KAs...if for no other reason than the battery usage. The Telex 850's don't require a power source - they use power from the intercom - just plug them in and go. You don't even have to have the intecom 'hot' - as long as they're plugged in they're powered. The HMEC's I used were back in the 2000 time frame so maybe they've gotten better but the battery usage was unreal. It seems like we were replacing the batteries every 3rd flight or so. We had King Airs and a Starship(quieter like a jet) and if the batteries ran out during the flight the HMECs were HORRIBLE...it was actually better to take them off than to try and use them without the ANR in the turboprops. I tried both the 25's and the 45's, and went with the 45's hands down. I like the open ear design on the 45's and my battery usage was easily 80+ hours instead of 20- with the 25's.
