Smile HondaJet

Last fall I applied for the A&P training for Honda Aircraft here in Greensboro, NC. There were 2 sets of assestment tests that I made it through and a final team building exersice for the final 75 applicants. I was picked for the training but I could not take it at the time because I would have to had quit my job and start training in January so there was not enough time for me to find another job. They kept me in the applicant pool for training for other positions. Yesterday I got a email from them saying I was pick for training to start in August. I am so excited!! The job I will be training for will be Avionics installation, which is what I really wanted. Need to start hunting for a new job now.

Wow, don't know how I missed this thread for a month. Congrats on the new gig. I bet Honda will be a great company to work for.

Sweet! Working for Honda should have it's advantages. Keep us updated on whatever interesting technical information you come across in school that is unique to the Honda Jet. The over the wing engine installation is interesting.

I am really looking forward to working for them. I'll tell what I can about the jet, may be some things that I cannot talk about. Not sure what the salary is for A+P's but when they announced they were building the factory here they said the average salary will be $72k a year.
