Need help for Practical Test

I went to an A&P school five years ago. It was new in my area and at the time, some of the instructors were turning over more then the students. I didnt get the best Education and by the time I Graduated I wasnt to confident on my skills and ability to pass the Practical test. So I ended up writing of the experience as a bad idea.

Five years later I have regreted my decision and the flight school I am now a part of would also like me to get my A&P. I need a way to Find an A&P in the Kansas City Area to let me help him in the shop a few hours a week and in return brush up on my skills so I can pass the practical test.

I just need a refresher. the school I went to cant do much help( only can come in when I have my daughter, and I think real world experience would help alot more)
